From Times Wire Reports
Police arrested the leader of the far-right British National Party after he was secretly filmed calling Islam “a wicked, vicious faith.”
The arrest of Nick Griffin was welcomed by Muslims, some of whom said the government should ban the party altogether.
Police arrested Griffin, 45, in Wales and took him to West Yorkshire, where officers are investigating the party’s activities. He was later released on bail. Griffin charged that the arrest was an election ploy by the ruling Labor Party.
