BCS Never Said It Would Get It Right
How many years of BCS nonsense do we have to put up with so television networks and the dinosaurs who run the antiquated bowl system can make money off the free labor of college football players? The BCS is an insult to both the players and fans.
We either need to go back to the days of the “mythical” national champion or create a playoff system. The BCS has destroyed tradition, damaged the integrity of the game, and every year hangs one or more of the best teams out to dry. Enough!

I am sick of hearing Tommy Tuberville, Jeff Tedford and other coaches and athletic directors whine about the inequities of the BCS selection process. I will attach credibility to their protests only when they have the courage to tell their respective hypocritical university president to get his or her hand out of the wallets of the bowl committees and support a Division I football playoff.

Jeff Tedford should not get a new five-year contract. He should be fired. Anybody who cannot lower himself to the tactics of a Southern card sharp does not belong in college football.

We have the Orange Bowl, the Bridesmaid Bowl (Sugar), the Shallow Bowl (Fiesta) and, the granddaddy of them all, the Hollow Bowl. Thank you, BCS, for the common sense reflected here.

Texas vs. Michigan in Pasadena on Jan. 1? And I used to think the Galaxy was the cure for insomnia.
