O.C. Woman Dies; Boyfriend Held
From a Times Staff Writer
An Irvine woman was found dead in her bed Tuesday and her live-in boyfriend was arrested as a suspect, police said.
The woman, believed to be 50, was not identified, nor did Irvine police say how she died.
Lt. Mike Hamel, a police spokesman, said the woman’s body was discovered in her apartment on Murica Aisle about 2:45 p.m., when police responded to a call from someone fearing she was in danger.
Hours later, Hamel said, officers arrested James Herbert Speights, 47, whom they found in a car on a street in Tustin.
