A group of people stormed the warehouse of opposition newspaper Noticias in the southern state of Oaxaca, seizing paper and ink, the state attorney general’s office said. The body of a 19-year-old man, believed shot in the back during the scuffle, was found a day later.
Jesus Perez, a spokesman for the attorney general’s office, said the group seized the printing materials late Sunday outside Oaxaca City, 220 miles southeast of Mexico City.
It was unclear whether the dead man worked for the newspaper. Police had no suspects.
