Deputy Shoots Holdup Suspect in Lynwood

A Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy shot a robbery suspect in the torso Sunday night in Lynwood, a sheriff’s official said.
The suspect, whose name and medical condition were not released, was taken to a local hospital.
The deputy who shot him suffered a broken ankle in the incident in the 11800 block of South Atlantic Boulevard and also was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, authorities said.
