Single Mother Holds $95-Million Lottery Win

A 29-year-old single mother came forward as the holder of a Powerball ticket worth more than $95 million, saying her two children, ages 9 and 10, have already asked for a mountain bike and a moped.
Regina Mandabach of Washington, Ind., took the cash option and will get $49.7 million before taxes. The insurance company customer service representative’s ticket was one of two that matched the numbers for Saturday’s $190.9-million jackpot.
Fifteen Minnesota school cooks and a janitor had the other winner.
