Twin Boys Separated by Surgery Are Conscious

Twin Egyptian 2-year-old boys who were separated at the crown of their heads have both regained consciousness from medically induced comas and have movement in all of their limbs, doctors said.
Dr. James Thomas, director of critical care at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, where Ahmed and Mohamed Ibrahim were separated Sunday, said both boys open their eyes when spoken to and “appear to be searching out the voice calling their name.”
