Expect No Extension, Atomic Agency Says
From Times Wire Reports
International Atomic Energy Agency chief Mohamed ElBaradei said Iran could not expect an extension of an Oct. 31 deadline to prove that it does not have a nuclear weapons program.
Iran denies U.S. charges that it is trying to make a nuclear bomb. The United Nations could impose sanctions if Iran does not provide the information the IAEA wants.
ElBaradei said inspectors had visited military sites in Iran but still needed clarification of Iran’s uranium enrichment program, which Tehran says is related to nuclear power.
