Bombing Suspect Kills Three Police Officers

A suspected Muslim militant detained at police headquarters in Manila grabbed a guard’s rifle, killed three police and wounded three others before officers fatally shot him, officials said.
A police spokesman said the suspect, Buyungan Bongkak, was one of five men arrested in a bombing last year in Zamboanga City. He was an alleged member of the Abu Sayyaf rebels.
