Mayor Named to State Water Task Force
Mayor Steve Bromberg has been appointed to Gov.-elect Arnold Schwarzenegger’s water quality advisory task force, it was announced Friday.
Bromberg will work with about 24 other water quality experts in the state to recommend to the governor a drinking water policy, as well as proposals for recreational and agricultural uses.
The mayor has worked on water quality issues in Newport Beach since being elected to the City Council in 2000.
“This is good for Newport Beach and Orange County,” Bromberg said, “because we’ll be able to weigh in on water quality issues” that affect the county.
