Rebels, Government Agree to a Cease-Fire

Ivory Coast’s warring parties said they had agreed to a cease-fire on all fronts. President Laurent Gbagbo previously agreed to a cease-fire with the main rebel faction, but fighting in the west continued with two groups. Now, “both sides have agreed to stop everything,” said Adou Assoa, acting defense minister. However, one rebel leader said he had not heard about it.
