Grain Silo Project Nearing Completion

A family of owls and the townsfolk of Napa can rest more easily, knowing that two tall grain silos, icons of admiration left over from the World War II era, will soon stand more sturdily.
The beloved 62-foot tall Napa Mill silos loom large over a shopping center and hotel, but were in need of seismic reinforcement.
Two years ago, a Sacramento engineering company began reinforcing the lower portion of the silos, and the project is to be complete in a few months.
Life has just about returned to normal for a family of owls. The parent owls left their nest during construction.
