Update -- Jennifer Gillom, the WNBA’s second all-time leading scorer, was a big star in Phoenix for six seasons until joining the Sparks this year as a free agent. The Mercury, rebuilding under new Coach John Shumate, has lost six of seven and hasn’t beaten the Sparks in the regular season since July 17, 1999, a span of 10 games. Adrian Williams (11.2 points, 8.9 rebounds) has been Phoenix’s steadiest player.
