Driver Faces Charges in Pedestrian Death, Crash

A teacher suspected of killing a pedestrian then crashing her vehicle into another and severely injuring its driver Thursday was being held on suspicion of drunk driving and vehicular manslaughter, authorities said Friday.
Cathleen Elaine McGann, 56, was released from Los Alamitos Medical Center, where she was treated for minor injures, and taken to Orange County Jail. McGann was being held in lieu of $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
The driver whose car was rammed was identified as Linda Robbins, 69, of Garden Grove.
