Bomb Scare Interrupts Metrolink Rail Service

Metrolink rail service between Burbank and Ventura County was interrupted for more than an hour Friday afternoon after a motorist reported a possible explosive device near the tracks at the Buena Vista Street crossing, authorities said.
The object, which looked like several sticks of dynamite tied together, turned out to be harmless, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department bomb squad investigators. They did not say what it was, however.
