Sony Music has chosen Bob Dylan as the first artist on its roster whose music will be released on the hybrid Super Audio CD format. Such discs can be played on existing CD players and on Super Audio systems that allow for multi-channel surround sound.
Fifteen Dylan albums will be released Aug. 19, including “The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan” (1963), “Bringing It All Back Home” (1965), “Planet Waves” (1974) and “Love and Theft” (2001).
