4 Allegedly Linked to Al Qaeda Arrested
From Times Wire Reports
Yemeni security forces arrested four alleged members of a militant group linked to Al Qaeda that is suspected in an attack on a military medical convoy, an official said.
The detainees allegedly belong to the outlawed Islamic Army of Aden-Abyan, which Yemeni authorities blame for the June 21 attack on the convoy in southern Yemen.
Authorities also believe that members of the group may have participated in the October 2000 attack on the U.S. destroyer Cole that killed 17 American sailors.
