Plea Issued for Blood Donors

Blood banks issued a plea for donations Wednesday. The American Red Cross said some blood types, particularly O negative, are especially needed.
Today, a Red Cross bloodmobile will be on the Santa Monica Promenade, Third Street and Santa Monica Boulevard, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. For information on donating blood, call (800) GIVE-LIFE.
UCLA has also asked for healthy donors of all blood types. To make an appointment, call the UCLA Blood and Platelet Center at (310) 825-0888, Ext. 2.
