P&G; May Sell Sunny Delight Brand

Procter & Gamble Co. is considering selling its Sunny Delight and Punica juice brands to focus on core businesses, the company said.
Procter & Gamble, based in Cincinnati, is soliciting offers for the refrigerated drink and juice brands that generated about $550 million in sales last year, a spokesman said. The businesses may be sold as a group or individually.
Procter & Gamble shares rose 29 cents to $88.58 on the NYSE after the announcement.
Goldman Sachs has been hired as an advisor to help the company explore a sale.
