Yosemite’s Spectacular Beauty and Power
A recent family visit to Yosemite only reinforced what I already knew: The Yosemite Valley is one of the most spectacular natural wonders in the world. Nothing man has created comes close to its beauty or power or awe-inspiring glory. And the joy of the place was evident in the faces of the people we encountered, people of just about every age and ethnic, cultural or socioeconomic group you can imagine.
With the world in such turmoil, it would seem that places that can create this type of magic must be preserved. Our national parks need to be protected at all costs -- something the current administration, with its love of loggers, oil companies and snowmobiles, doesn’t seem to grasp.
