Morning’s at Seven: Paul Osborn’s beguiling 1939 comedy about a quartet of small-town sisters in their 60s and 70s and the men in their lives may seem oddly oblivious to the Depression and an approaching world war. But its characters’ funny little quandaries about roads not taken will hit home with baby boomers in the throes of their own midlife crises. Indeed, the gifted cast looks as spry as the play itself. This is a Lincoln Center production that earned nine Tony nominations. Director Daniel Sullivan regrouped most of his New York cast, and the actors work together with a cohesion that reflects months of togetherness.

Ends Sunday at the Ahmanson Theatre, 135 N. Grand Ave., L.A. (213) 628-2772.
