San Joaquin County authorities are investigating the slaying of a 34-year-old man who was found hacked to death over the weekend.
Larry Allen Giacovoni was killed by hatchet blows and his hands were severed, said sheriff’s spokeswoman Nelida Stone. His body was found Sunday in the kitchen of a Stockton home.
After a struggle with deputies, James Campbell, 33, was booked on suspicion of murder, Stone said.
Campbell lived in the home with his girlfriend and her sister, who was Giacovoni’s girlfriend, Stone said.
