Contamination Picture From Source Worsens

Expanded water testing in this town south of San Jose shows that contamination from a closed highway flare company has spread to more drinking wells than first thought.
Traces of perchlorate, which can harm the thyroid, in more than 100 wells has prompted officials to tell 2,000 residents not to drink their water since testing began last month.
