GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
* Lindsay Bowen, Mission Viejo Capistrano Valley: Had six of the Cougars’ eight points in overtime, including two game-winning free throws with eight seconds remaining, in a 68-66 victory over West Torrance in the Marina tournament. Nina Conrad had 18 points to lead Capistrano Valley and Melanie Schmitz had 18 for West Torrance.
* Dominique Connor, Rialto Eisenhower: Made two three-point baskets in the fourth quarter to finish with 15 points in a 58-57 win over Santa Barbara in first-round play of the Ayala tournament. Mallery Avila added 20 for the winners. Maria Cordero led the Dons with 32.
* Lasandra Dixon, Azusa: Finished with 28 points, 11 steals, 10 rebounds and eight assists in a 52-29 victory over San Pedro in the Ayala tournament.
* Leah Murphy, Simi Valley: Had 11 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds in a 55-47 Arroyo Grande tournament victory over Porterville, the defending Central Section Division III champions.
* Natasha Lobendahn, Norwalk Glenn: Finished with 26 points and 20 rebounds in a 64-25 pool-play victory over Saugus Scott Academy in the Cantwell Sacred Heart tournament.
* Michelle Kribell, Anaheim Western: Made all eight of her free throws and finished with 18 points in a 48-39 victory over La Verne Bonita in the first round of the La Puente tournament.
* Brittney Taylor, El Segundo: Had 32 points in a 57-43 victory over Arroyo Valley in the first round of the Murrieta Valley tournament.
* Idessa Reyes, Burbank Bell-Jeff: Scored eight of her 26 points in overtime and had five rebounds for the tournament hosts in a 59-52 victory over Woodland Hills Louisville.
BOYS’ SOCCER
* Matt McAnena, Santa Margarita: Had all three goals in a 3-1 victory over Huntington Beach Ocean View in a first-round game of the Marina tournament.
* Kyle Graham, San Clemente: Had a goal and assist in a 3-1 victory over Long Beach Poly in the first round of the Marina tournament.
* Fernando Zandarian and Milan Radovic, Chatsworth: Zandarian scored three goals in a 6-1 pool-play victory over Oxnard and Radovic had two goals and one assist in the win and a goal in a 2-2 tie with tournament host Newhall Hart.
* Jimmy Pusey, Chino: Scored twice on penalty kicks before the Cowboys defeated No. 6 Alta Loma in a shootout, 4-3, in pool play of the Upland tournament. The teams had tied, 3-3.
* Chukwudi Chijinbu, La Verne Damien: Had the winning goal and assisted on the other two in a 3-2 victory over Fontana Miller in the Upland tournament.
GIRLS’ WATER POLO
* Camille Hewko and Katya Eadington, Corona del Mar: Hewko had five goals and three steals and Eadington had four goals, two assists and two steals for the No. 7 Sea Queens in a 14-4 victory over Poway in a quarterfinal of the Newport Harbor-Corona del Mar tournament.
* Joanna Kraus and Grace Reynolds, Santa Ana Foothill: Kraus had nine goals and Reynolds added six for the No. 1 Knights in a 14-2 victory over tournament host Newport Harbor and a 12-4 win over Irvine University.
