Officers Shoot, Kill Man Wielding a Gun in a Bar

Police shot and killed a man in a bar Thursday night after responding to a call of shots fired.
Officers arriving at the Rock-It bar in the 14200 block of Hawthorne Boulevard about 11 p.m. were confronted by a man who pointed a semiautomatic pistol at them, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, which is investigating.
Several officers fired at the man, whose name has not been released.
Authorities said a woman and three men had been injured by gunfire earlier. All were reported in stable condition at hospitals.
