Stockton firefighters rescued more than two dozen people when a three-alarm fire trapped senior citizens at the four-story Casa Manana Inn, fire officials said Monday.
Six residents were taken to hospitals, but there were no fatalities from the Sunday fire, according to the firefighters.
The fire started on the second floor and sent smoke into the upper floors, where five residents suffered smoke inhalation. Firefighters had to use an infrared camera to find a critically injured woman caught in a very smoky area.
