Ex-School Official Sentenced in Porn Case
A former administrator at Samuel Gompers Middle School in South Los Angeles was sentenced to five years and four months in federal prison Monday after he pleaded guilty to distributing child pornography over the Internet.
Albert Pinedo, 60, of Alhambra was charged with sending 28 sexually explicit images of children to an undercover federal postal inspector last summer.
After his arrest, Pinedo, a 25-year veteran of the L.A. Unified School District, also admitted performing sex acts with boys as young as 11 over the last two decades or more, prosecutors said.
