Border Park Reopens Only to Close Again
From Times Wire Reports
Border Field State Park, the most southwesterly park in the continental United States, has reopened following eight months of road work, but will be closed again in mid-September for a new road project.
The park, which sits directly north of Tijuana, had been closed while crews cleared dried mud from roads. It will be open to the public on weekends until next month. More than $10 million will be spent on improvements over the next few years, including upgrades to park facilities and projects to control flooding and erosion.
