Hood College is central to Frederick

I was delighted to find Frederick, Md., in the Travel Section [“A Maryland Period Piece,” Aug. 17]. However, I was extremely disappointed to find that you left out any mention of Hood College.

Hood College is an outstanding example of a small liberal arts college offering undergraduate and graduate degrees to a diverse college population.

This school has been in Frederick almost as long as the city has been there. Hood College is one of the reasons Frederick is an outstanding small city in America today.

I am sorry that you did not find it deserving of mention.
