Flame Retardant Ban
Amid all this brouhaha around the recall election, I would like to commend Gov. Gray Davis for signing legislation that will limit toxic chemical use in California by banning two forms of a toxic flame retardant (Aug. 10). Alternatives to polybrominated diphenyl ethers do exist.
