Vandals Use Forklift to Damage High School
From Staff and Wire Reports
Vandals use a variety of tools to commit their crimes -- in Fairfield, they used a forklift.
On Sunday, thieves cut the locks to a construction zone around Armijo High School and hijacked the forklift, which was later abandoned in the schoolyard. They used the forklift to punch holes into the walls of a classroom and a construction site trailer, police said.
About $1,200 in school equipment and construction tools were stolen, and damage was estimated at about $10,000.
