The city Ethics Commission on Monday unanimously elected former Los Angeles County Dist. Atty. Gil Garcetti as its president.
Garcetti, who was appointed to the commission last year, succeeds outgoing President Miriam Krinsky, who finished her five-year term in July.
The panel also reappointed Pam Emerson as vice president.
Both terms are for one year.
The Ethics Commission, created in 1990, enforces ethics in city government and laws regarding lobbying and campaign finance.
