Impac Earnings Rise 68% in Second Quarter

Impac Mortgage Holdings Inc. in Newport Beach said its second-quarter earnings increased 68% to $29.7 million, or 58 cents a share, from $17.7 million, or 44 cents, a year earlier.
Taxable income increased to $28.7 million, or 56 cents a share, from $18.2 million, or 45 cents, a year earlier.
Impac shares rose $1.50 to $14 .65 on the NYSE.
