Keep Goo Recipes Out of the Paper
I couldn’t believe my eyes! Why would someone be allowed to give instructions as to making “goo, similar to the asphalt in the tar pits, so you can see how easy it was for the animals to get stuck” (“A Learning Link to Page Museum at the Tar Pits,” Sept. 17)? All kids love to experiment and this article is an invitation for disaster. Imagine what could happen if only one child on every city block decided to make this goo! With a youngster’s innovative mind, anything is possible.
We have birds, butterflies, dogs, cats, handicapped people, toddlers, etc. who could be hurt from contact with this goo, especially if placed where it is least expected.
