10-Acre Brush Fire Under Investigation
More than 70 firefighters and a water-dropping helicopter fought a 10-acre brush fire Monday at Featherly Regional Park near Yorba Linda, an Orange County Fire Authority spokesman said.
The cause of the fire, which broke out in sweltering heat at 2:42 p.m., is under investigation, said Garry Layman, a Fire Authority spokesman. No homes or structures were threatened, he said. Three firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion.
The fire was not expected to be under control until this morning, Layman said.
