Dad Will Temporarily Keep Boy in Kidnapping

The father of 9-year-old Nicholas Farber, whose mother was jailed after allegedly orchestrating the boy’s kidnapping last week in Palm Desert, will continue to have temporary custody of the boy.
Orange County Superior Court Judge Claudia Silbar ruled Thursday that temporary sole legal and physical custody will remain with Michael Farber pending a Nov. 7 hearing to determine permanent custody.
The judge said she wanted to give the attorney for Debra Rose, Nicholas’ mother, time to prepare her case and arrange for Rose to attend the hearing.
Rose, 38, of Colorado Springs, Colo., is in custody in Riverside County on four felony charges, including two counts of child abduction.
