Cooper Says Net Income Rose 29% in 3rd Quarter
Cooper Cos. reported net income of $13.4 million, or 86 cents a share, for its fiscal third quarter, a 29% increase over earnings of $10.4 million, or 67 cents, for the same period last year.
Sales at the Lake Forest maker of contact lenses and surgical products rose 48% to $90.6 million for the quarter ended July 31.
Cooper shares rose 23 cents to close at $44 on the New York Stock Exchange, before the results were released.
