Lennon to Be Remembered by Music, Candlelight

Los Angeles Alliance for Survival’s free, annual John Lennon Birthday Remembrance will take place Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the late music legend’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, in front of the Capitol Records building at 1750 N. Vine St. in Hollywood
Guest speakers will include Chris Carter of KLSX-FM’s “Breakfast With the Beatles,” Les Perry of KCSN-FM’s “Meet the Beatles” and DJs from KRTH-FM.
The event will also include live and taped music, local rock singer Tee-M, a cake-cutting ceremony and a “Flame of Peace” candle-lighting.
The public is invited to bring music and poetry to share. Birthday cards, flowers and candles will be placed around Lennon’s star.
