From Times Wire Reports
An F-15C pilot who died in a crash this year was forced to eject from the fighter jet at a high speed when a section of the tail broke off, an Air Force investigation team concluded.
An Accident Investigation Board report said Maj. James Duricy was forced to eject over the Gulf of Mexico on April 30 when a piece of left tail broke off, causing loss of control.
The jet was part of the Air Force’s Air Armament Center at Eglin Air Force Base.
