Man Dies After Being Shot Outside Apartments

A man shot behind a Mar Vista apartment building Friday has died, police said Saturday.
Jayson Hoff, 23, was shot in a parking lot behind an apartment building at 12767 Caswell Ave. about 7:35 p.m. Friday, said police spokesman Jason Lee. The suspect then fled in an unknown vehicle, Lee said.
Hoff was taken to UCLA Medical Center, where he died.
Lee said that police have no witnesses to the shooting.
They ask anyone with information on the shooting to call the LAPD’s Pacific Station at (310) 202-4506.
