Return of the Prunes

The article on the Electric Prunes (“A Few Wrinkles,” by Bob Baker, Sept. 29) did not identify the songwriters responsible for “I Had Too Much to Dream (Last Night),” Annette Tucker and Nancie Mantz.

Groovy, a big Sunday Calendar story on that mediocre ‘60s rock group the Electric Prunes. What a trip, since the night before I read this I had gone to a concert featuring a truly classic and influential ‘60s group, Love Featuring Arthur Lee, and like most of the people in the capacity crowd was blown away.

This is the same Arthur Lee who while touring in England this summer was invited to Parliament because members had approved a motion declaring “Forever Changes” the greatest album of all time.
