Nathan Bennett and Ben Baumgarten, South Pasadena: Bennett had five goals and Baumgarten four in an 11-2 victory over Anaheim Esperanza in a quarterfinal of the Villa Park tournament.
Brent Danna, Lake Forest El Toro: Had four goals in an 11-5 victory over Portland (Ore.) Westview in a quarterfinal of the Villa Park tournament.
Phil Pease, Orange: Had 11 goals for the second time this season in a 22-7 victory over Anaheim Loara.
Grant Miller and Jon Evans, La Verne Damien: Miller had six goals and five steals and Evans had three goals and five assists in a 15-5 victory over Placentia Valencia.

GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL
Sharon Day, Costa Mesa: Had 14 kills in a 15-12, 15-12, 15-10 victory over Estancia in a Golden West League game. Day won the high jump competition at the state track and field finals in June.
Kristin McClune, Newport Harbor: Had 20 kills in a 15-10, 15-5 victory over Chicago St. Ignatius and 12 kills in a 15-5, 15-9 victory over Milwaukee Pius XI to lead the sixth-seeded Sailors (9-1) to the championship quarterfinals of the 24-team Nike Challenge tournament at Mother McAuley High in Chicago.
