Search Ends for Ferry Victims as Toll Grows

Divers called off the search for victims from a capsized Senegalese ferry as officials lowered their count of survivors and said 238 more people than originally thought had been on board.
Rescuers recovered only 64 survivors from among the 1,034 people on board the Joola, which sank last week. Officials previously had said that 796 passengers were aboard and that 104 had survived.
The overcrowded ferry was built to accommodate no more than 600 people. More than 400 bodies have been recovered.
