2000 Chateau de Camarsac, Bordeaux Superieur
- Share via
Not every Bordeaux comes with a grand pedigree. Bordeaux Superieur may not turn heads the way the historic first and second growths do. And it certainly doesn’t give you the same kinds of bragging rights among wine snobs. But even in this more humble category of Bordeaux, some estates clearly stand out.
Chateau de Camarsac, an ancient fortress in Entre-Deux-Mers, turns out a rouge with an exceptional rapport of price to quality. Deep ruby red in color, the 2000 is juicy and delicious, tasting of ripe red berries and spice. At this price, you can afford to pour it for a party.
