Site -- Moby Arena, Fort Collins.
Records -- USC 1-0, Colorado State 1-0.
Update -- The Trojan women opened the college basketball season with a win for the first time since 1999, defeating Northern Arizona on Friday in the first round of the preseason Women’s NIT. That was the only home game guaranteed to USC for the rest of the tournament, which resumes today against the Rams. Colorado State has won both previous meetings, the most recent a 66-56 victory in the 2000 postseason WNIT. USC guard Aisha Hollans, who has been idled by a sore back and an academic suspension, is finally cleared to play. Colorado State defeated first-round opponent San Francisco on Friday, making Chris Denker a winner in his Ram coaching debut. Senior forward Ashley Augspurger led the Rams with 19 points.
