Williams Cleared in Antitrust Probe

Williams Cos. said the Justice Department cleared it in an antitrust probe involving a California power deal it had with AES Corp.
The Tulsa, Okla.-based company said the Justice Department’s antitrust division will take no action against the company and has closed its 18-month probe into a capacity agreement between Williams and AES.
Williams also said it lost 58 cents a share in the third quarter, contrasted with restated net income last year of $221.3 million, or 44 cents a share. Revenue fell 29% to $2.1 billion.
Williams shares rose 36 cents to $2.79 on the New York Stock Exchange.
