3 Settlers Charged With Plotting to Bomb School
ISRAEL
An Israeli court indicted three Jewish settlers on charges of attempted murder and illegal possession of weapons in an alleged plot to bomb a girls school in East Jerusalem.
The Jerusalem District Court charge sheet said Yarden Morag, Shlomo Dvir and Ofer Gamliel had stockpiled explosives and made reconnaissance runs since February in the At Tur neighborhood to prepare for a “large-scale attack.”
Before dawn April 29, authorities said, the suspects rigged a mini-trailer with TNT blast charges, two barrels of gasoline, two cooking-gas canisters and shrapnel. The bomb was left outside the school, set to explode as its 1,300 girls arrived for classes.
