The Oak Park Library will be closed during the summer while construction of a new building is completed.
For the past 21 years, the library has been located at Oak Park High School at 899 N. Kanan Road, but the school plans to expand.
The library, which is operated jointly by the Oak Park Unified School District and the county’s library services agency, will be closed beginning June 14 and reopen this fall in a 10,000-square-foot building next to the high school.
It will be open to the public 40 hours a week, up from 24 at present.
