Cruise Columnists Missed the Boat

The first column I look for in the Los Angeles Times every other week is the Slater and Basch cruise reviews. They are well written and informative. I also realize they are guests of the cruise lines.
However, their review of the Star Princess was way off base (“Princess’ Star Ship Enterprise Makes Massive Just Seem--Big,” May 5). I also was on the March 16 sailing. I have taken 29 cruises, and I can honestly say I never heard so many complaints from fellow passengers. The Times has an obligation to have their reporters and writers present a fair, unbiased picture. I hope this review was the exception and not the norm.
