Hypocrisy at Home
Re “Bush Outlines Terms for Foreign Aid Recipients,” March 23: Hypocrisy: The feigning of beliefs, feelings or virtues that one does not hold or possess; insincerity. Hypocrite: A person given to hypocrisy. Example: George Bush announcing his plan to link foreign aid to poor countries’ willingness to end corruption, reform their economics and help their own people. Enron: How about starting right here at home?
